"Wishing you a Christmas filled with laughter, cherished memories, and the beauty of giving Art”.
First and foremost, thank you to those of that attended my recent Open Den! It was great connecting with like-minded art lovers and chatting about my favourite subject!
My trip to Rome in mid-November centred on the life and works of the brilliant Caravaggio! I was extremely fortunate to see fourteen of his works. Following in the footsteps of one of Italy's most enigmatic artists, the journey took me from the grandeur of Galleria Doria Pamphilj to the quiet charm of tucked-away chapels. It was a feast for the senses and soul and one I shall be repeating again very soon.
Don’t forget to buy your tickets for Peter James' stage play Picture You Dead. Showing in theatre’s around the country from February 2025, this gripping adaptation of his bestselling novel follows a couple who stumble upon a valuable hidden painting, drawing them into a dangerous web of greed, deception, and murder. Set against the backdrop of the art world, (my works will be on stage alongside the actors!) the play masterfully intertwines edge-of-your-seat drama with unexpected twists, capturing the essence of Peter James' signature storytelling. With its compelling characters and intense narrative, Picture You Dead will deliver a thrilling theatre experience for fans of crime and suspense.
November ended with a fantastic charity Gala for Primary Shakespeare Company, who asked if I could donate a painting for their auction. The painting, ‘Chandos Portrait’ of William Shakespeare, helped the company raise a whooping £75K. This funding goes directly towards bringing timeless performances, educational programs, and creative workshops to life, ensuring that the magic of the Bard’s works continues to inspire future generations.
