Artist of the Month - Picasso

With Picasso’s birthday on the 25th of October, I would like to share some insights into the most important figure of the 20th century’s art scene. A famously charismatic personality, Picasso had a string of muses, mistresses and lovers throughout his long career. His many relationships with women not only filtered into his art but may also have directed its course, and his behaviour has come to embody that of the bohemian modern artist in the popular imagination.

The legacy of Picasso is comprehensive. It is estimated that he produced nearly 150,000 pieces in his ninety-one years of life!

When I reconstruct Picasso’s style it’s a huge learning curve, always I’m picking up tricks unique to the artist, that can be quite surprising. His underlying knowledge of classical art shows through even in his most surreal and abstract paintings. What better company to aspire to than the giant of the twentieth century, the genius of the arts, Pablo Picasso.
