Claude Monet
Claude Monet was the founder and initiator of the French Impressionist style and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movements’ philosophy of expressing one’s perceptions before nature – en plein-air. Monet’s paintings are among the most well-known and widely enjoyed works of art in the world. He produced series of paintings, repeating the same study with the changing light.

“Everyone discusses my art and pretends to understand, as if it were necessary to understand, when it is simply necessary to love.”
― Claude Monet
